The midi settings need sorting in the SM2 shell, before you get into the LS9 bit of the editor.

Sound like you've got the network midi drivers sorted out. Again I had issues when they first bought out the mac drivers for LS9, in that the desk had to be of a minimum firmware, and you had to get the right version of studio manager/LS9 editor to work with it. Have you tried communicating with the LS9 via a switch/router? I seem to remember having some similar woes last time I used one, and once I'd put a router/switch in the chain, that sorted it out for me?įirst port of call would be checking the firmware of the desk and that Mac studio manager with LS9 editor software are correct to communicate with the desk. Clock on the desk is the same time/date as the computers, network is definately working.Īny thoughts? The "Yamaha Network-Midi" preferences applet can see the console when I perform a search, and has the console in it's Device List. In the "Master" window within the editor, under Sync it shows "Offline". Trying to use this recall option is what gets me the time out error. If it's any help, the "Re-synchronise O"option of the 'Synchronization' menu at the top of the LS9 editor window is greyed out, but the "Recall" option on the 'Synchronise' menu on the apple menu bar is not. I've set all of the various input/output drop down boxes that I can find, but still getting a timeout error. The network settings on the mac are pretty much identical to the windows laptop (and no, they're not both on the network at the same time!). If I pull the network cable from the mac, and plug it into a windows laptop, I can get SM working live with the desk perfectly.
